Cailee Spaeny is in between worlds. Having played characters that span across time and space, the Golden Globe-nominated actress has a fascinating plurality about her that feels both familiar and fresh.
As one of two cover stars for April’s ‘Retrofuture’ issue, Spaeny lets us into her universe—from her intense portrayal of Rain Carradine in ‘Alien: Romulus’ to the tender portrait she paints in ‘Priscilla’ and her newest work for Netflix’s limited series ‘Beef’.
Joining her as our second cover star is Rebecca Armstrong. Whilst it was her breakout role opposite co-star Freen Sarocha in ‘Gap: The Series’ that brought her global fame, her staying impact feels relentless—and it’s one that starts to make sense when studying her serious credentials across acting, singing, and modelling.
“Each discipline fulfils a different creative side of me. Acting allows me to tell stories, music feels very personal, and modelling connects me with fashion and visual expression,” shares Armstrong.
In this issue, we delve into the new creative challenges she's taking on in 2026, and what she's been learning about herself along the way.
