It’s been five years since Vogue Singapore launched during the pandemic. A testament that showed even in the darkest of times, it was the spirit of creating, innovating and lifting one another that kept us moving forward. Hurtling towards this very day, where five years on, we celebrate our anniversary issue with ‘Kinship’. Encapsulated on a cover, a portrait of togetherness featuring five models from across Southeast Asia: welcoming Singaporean model and returning cover star Kaigin Yong, new faces Ryan Alexander and Malaysian-born Zach Daniels, Indonesian fashion model Lara Sekar as well as senior model and cancer survivor Arun Rosiah. Of individual yet shared experiences, Vogue Singapore’s October ‘Kinship’ cover stars transcend the boundaries of gender, age, culture and dialogue, reshaping what it means to be a model in Southeast Asia today.
